STATEMENT OF WORK 23 OCTOBER 2009 PURCHASE OF DRUG, ALCOHOL, SUICIDE PREVENTION PROGRAM Description of work: This statement of work is to hire a contractor to perform a Drug and Alcohol Abuse Prevention Program at Pope Air Force Base. These presentations are part of the Pope Air Force Base leadership's ongoing efforts to decrease DUIs, drinking to excess, underage drinking and promote suicide awareness. Our Drug and Alcohol Abuse Prevention Program will continue to raise awareness for the base populace on the implications of drinking while driving, responsible habits and the Wingman concept. Through humor, honest and insightful testimony and personal experience the program will relate to young and old and will move the audiences to consider their own choices they make every day. The presentations will take place at the Base Theater on Pope AFB. The objectives are to: - Perform 4 shows total with 2 shows a day to the base populace. - Connect with Airmen both young and old through a creative humor program and personal experience with Alcohol Abuse, portray a message of abstinence and responsible drinking. - Connect with Airmen both young and old through a creative humor program and personal experience with Substance Abuse, portray a message of abstinence. - Connect with Airmen both young and old through a creative humor program and personal experience with Suicide, and promote ways for suicide prevention. - Connect with Airmen both young and old through a creative humor program and personal experience with Sexual Misconduct, and teach proper etiquette for dealing with members of the opposite sex. - Implement alcohol and other drug risk reduction and prevention strategies that respond to potential problems before they jeopardize readiness, productivity, and careers. - Encourage with the hope to restore to duty those substance-impaired Airmen who have the potential for continued military service. - Inspire and create effective alcohol and other drug abuse prevention and education at all levels of command, and encourage commanders to provide alcohol and drug-free leisure activities. - Achieve maximum productivity and reduce absenteeism and attrition among civilian employees by reducing the effects of the abuse of alcohol and other drugs. - Ensure quality customer service. - is a Prevention & Training program that emphasizes readiness, personal responsibility, and increases Airmen's quality of life!. Conditions of work: Performances will be conducted at the base theater with a target dates of 27 and 28 January 2010. Performance time will be at 0800 and 1000 for two days, for a total of four performances. The performances require only a chair and a microphone provided by Visual Information. The audience will not seat more than 402 personnel at any performance.
