- The Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) is issuing competitive solicitation N00024-10-R-4119 for the procurement of Salvage and Salvage-Related Services contracts for an East Coast Zone (Zone A), a West Coast Zone (Zone B) and a Western Pacific (WestPac) Zone (Zone C). These services involve the salvage of ships, craft, cargo and other items (e.g., aircraft, weaponry equipment, etc.) as tasked, salvage-related firefighting, towing, harbor clearance, point-to-point towing and ocean engineering projects. NAVSEA intends to award up to three separate contracts (one per zone). One contract will also include engineering, design support and software services for related salvage work. Zone A encompasses primarily the Atlantic Ocean; Zone B includes the Pacific Ocean, excluding the Western Pacific region; and Zone C includes the Persian Gulf, Red Sea, Arabian Gulf, Gulf of Suez, Indian Ocean, etc. The resulting indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity type contracts will be for one base year plus four option year periods. The solicitation closing date is provided in the solicitation N00024-10-R-4119. This synopsis is being posted to both the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) website located at http://www.fbo.gov and the Navy Electronic Commerce Online (NECO) website at http://www.neco.navy.mil. While it is understood that FBO is the single point of entry for posting of synopses and solicitations to the internet, NECO is the alternative in case FBO is unavailable.
