- Description
- Synopsis: Modification 050 obligates American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) funds to the Hanford Site 222-S Laboratory Contract, contract number DE-AC27-05RV14548. The original scope and purpose of the contract will not change with the addition of the ARRA Stimulus Funds. The Total Contract Price will not increase as a result of this modification. The contract is a $58.8 M cost-plus-performance-based incentive fee type contract. The scope of this contract is to perform the Analytical Services production functions of receiving, handling, analyzing, storing samples, performing special tests and reporting the results of these analyses and tests to the contractors of Department of Energy Offices at the Hanford Nuclear Site near Richland, Washington. Modification 050 obligates ARRA funding in the amount of $204,000.00. The period of performance for this modification is from November 16, 2009 to January 10, 2010. Rationale for using other than a fixed price and/or competitive award: Contract Clause I.103, FAR 52.243-2 Changes, Cost Reimbursement (AUG 1987), ALT I (APR 1984) of the contract authorizes the Contracting Officer to make changes within the general scope of the contract. The work scope considered for acceleration, as a result of the receipt of the ARRA funds, is within the scope of the contract and is consistent with the current contract type.
