- This synopsis is being posted to the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) website located at http://www.fbo.gov, the Navy Electronic Commerce on Line (NECO) website located at https://www.neco.navy.mil/, and the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Crane Division, Acquisition website located at http://www.crane.navy.mil/acquisition/homepage.htm. FBO is the primary point of entry to be used when access to synopses and solicitations from the World Wide Web is required. However, the NECO webpage as well as the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Crane Division, Acquisition webpage serve as alternatives if the FBO website is unavailable. The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Crane Division is seeking information on the development and manufacturing of radome that will satisfy the requirements for the Phased Array Sub-System (PASS) Panel, a component of the AN/MSQ-118 Mobile Processing Ground Communication Unit. This unit is a component of the Air Force's Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) Space Launch Early Warning/Nuclear Detonation Detection System. All interested parties are encouraged to submit company and product literature, white paper, and/or other pertinent information for the Government's consideration by January 11, 2010. This Sources Sought Synopsis or Request for Information (RFI) does not constitute an Invitation for Bids (IFB), a Request for Quote (RFQ), or a Request for Proposal (RFP) and it should not be construed as a commitment of any kind by the government to issue a formal solicitation or ultimately award a contract. The US Government is in no way liable to pay for or reimburse any companies or entities that respond to this announcement. Any costs incurred by interested companies in response to this announcement will NOT be reimbursed. Any information provided that is marked as proprietary information will be safeguarded to prevent disclosures to non-government personnel and entities. Please see the attached document titled, "Radome for Phased Array Sub-System (PASS) Panel" for information in regards to the purpose, background, technical information, and submission guide. SUBMISSION OF RESPONSES: ALL RESPONSES SHALL BE SUBMITTED VIA EMAIL Responses to this RFI shall be submitted via email no later than January 11, 2010 to Mr. John Williams, john.e.williams@navy.mil, phone (812) 854-6304. Please limit responses to (5) pages written and/or (10) MS PowerPoint slides. Responses to all or part of the above RFI will be accepted. Proprietary information shall be clearly marked. The Government will NOT be responsible for any proprietary information not clearly marked. Responses from Small and Small Disadvantaged Business firms are highly encouraged. Responses received after January 11, 2010 may not be considered in the government's analyses.
