- Description
- The Virginia Contracting Activity (VACA) is seeking small business sources to provide warehouse and property accountability and management services for the Defense Logistics Operations Command (DLOC) Center. VACA is looking for firms with the ability to provide a complete range of warehouse and property accountability services and focused modeling and simulation services, including: (a) provide staff to accomplish the full range of centralized warehouse services within the National Capitol Region (NCR), such as receiving property, using an automated Logistics Information System (LIS) for storing and tracking, conducting both cyclical and periodic inventories, issuing property, transporting property via various methods/modes and disposing of excess or condemned property; (b) provide staff to perform warehouse services at locations outside the (NCR). Staff would perform all services accomplished within the NCR and include the ability to store and issue individual equipment; (c) provide property accountability services (as defined by DOD and the National Property Management Association (NPMA)) to include: Managing accountable property throughout an asset's lifecycle; establishment of an Accountable Property Systems of Record; supporting the establishment/implementation of regulations and procedures for the assessment and reporting of overall property management maturity level; development and maintenance of effective and meaningful performance measures; support in performing periodic internal reviews and audits in property accountability and management system effectiveness; support maintaining a viable property training program; conducting physical inventories to include annual, sensitive and special inventories; and support in preparing and submitting financial liability investigations of damaged/lost property. This is not an RFP, no cost estimates are requested and the Government will not pay the costs for submission of capabilities information. Information must be submitted in 12 font, Times New Roman and may not exceed 10 (ten) pages. The title page must be named "Warehouse/Property Accountability and Management Services". Capabilities information is due no later than 29 December 2009, 12:00 noon, EST.
