Description
RECOVERY - In compliance with the transparency and accountability requirements associated with the supplemental appropriations provided by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009, Pub. L. 111-5, the Government posts this notice of intent to issue a Request for Proposal (RFP). The U.S. Department of the Interior, National Park Service, Abraham Lincoln Birthplace National Historic Site, located in Hodgenville, KY, has a requirement to provide all labor, materials, tools, equipment, transportation, and supervision to demolish and remove existing roofing, gutters, and downspouts and replace the same with a standing seam metal roof for the park's #8 and #9 Quarters buildings. Work will require the use of best practices for all trades involved. This requirement is a 100% Small Business Set-Aside. The associated North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 238160 with a small business size standard of $14 million. The Government intends to award a firm fixed price contract in accordance with FAR Part 36 (Construction and Architect-Engineer Contracts) and Part 15 (Contracting by Negotiation). The magnitude of the price range for this project is $25,000.00 - $100,000.00, and the performance period will be 60 days after the start date of the contract. The anticipated issue date of the solicitation is December 28, 2009, and the anticipated date of award is on or about February 5, 2009. The contractors identified for the competition are required to be registered on all three of the following websites: National Business Center (NBC) - http://ideasec.nbc.gov/, the Central Contractor Registration System (CCR) - http://www.ccr.gov/, and Online Representations and Certifications (ORCA) - www.bpn.gov/. Receipt of this award is contingent on the recipient's meeting the requirements in Section 1512 of the Recovery Act.
