- The contractor shall furnish all depot level labor, facilities, special tooling, test equipment and materials for maintenance, overhaul/recapitalization of the T700-GE-700 and T700-GE-701D Turbine Engines. T700 INPUT/OUTPUT NSN: 2840-01-070-1003 T700 INPUT/OUTPUT P/N: 6035T00G01 T701C/D INPUT/OUTPUT NSN: 2840-01-503-1701 T701C/D NPUT/OUTPUT P/N: 5130T00G01 The proposed contractual action will be for a 5 year, firm fixed price Indefinite Delivery Quantity (IDIQ) type contract, with a minimum quantity of 1 and a maximum quantity of 241 each T700 engines. This includes FMS quantity of 40 each. The required quantities for the T701D engines are a minimum of 50 each and a maximum of 600 each. This requirement includes FMS quantity of 100. This IS A Critical Safety Item. In accordance with DFAR regulation 209.270-3 the head of the contract activity responsible for procuring an aviation critical safety item may enter into a contract only with a source approved by the head of the design control activity. This item is a commercial item. Depot Maintenance Work Requirements (DMWR) 1-2840-248-1 and 1-2840-248-2, dated May 15, 1999, with Change 11 dated 15 Oct 2009, has been identified for this requirement. The DMWR is currently available to support a competitive solicitation. The only known approved source(s) of overhaul data for the T700 and T701D Engines is the manufactures blueprint(s)/production drawing(s), presently controlled by GE Engine Services, Inc. (CAGE 24113), Bet Shemesh Engines, Ltd. (CAGE S0204) and Vector Aerospace Helicopter Services (CAGE 3AH19). Firms are encouraged to seek source approval in order to compete for this or future solicitations by submitting documentation in accordance with the procedures outlined at the following website: http://www.redstone.army.mil/cmo/. Award of this requirement will not be withheld pending source approval. The required production schedule to meet current and forecasted requirements are 5 per month for the T700 engines, NSN 2840-01-070-1003 and 10 per month for the T701D engines, NSN 2840-01-503-1701. Input will be 30 days ARO for both engines. Output shall be 180 days ARO for both engines. Firms that recognize and perform maintenance and overhaul on the required items described above are encouraged to identify themselves. This requirement is currently unfunded. Award will be withheld pending receipt of sufficient funds. The closing date annotated is an estimated date and may be adjusted depending upon the date of release of the solicitation; however, the solicitation will not be closed prior to the closing date stated above.
