Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center (VAMC), Iowa City, Iowa is seeking Architect or architect/engineer (NAICS 541310) firms certified in the following categories: (1) Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB), (2) Veteran Owned Small Business (VOSB), (3) 8(a), (4) Hubzone, (5) Woman Owned Small Business (WOSB), and/or (6) Small Disadvantaged Business (SDB). The AE firm must be approved under NAICS Code 541310 Architectural Services with a small business size standard of $4.5 million capable of preparing all design documentation including, but not limited to, advance/master planning and design for a 400 car parking ramp, with expansion capabilities to 800 cars, and complete with skywalks to the existing VA medical center in Iowa City. Design must account for routing of service trucks and semi trucks from the existing main entrance off Hwy 6. AE expected to employ the services of a fire protection engineer and an industrial hygienist. The prime contractor should have experience designing and producing construction documents for parking ramps of similar capacity and complexity. Construction cost range is: $5,000,000 to $10,000,000. Applicants must have an established working office within a 250 mile radius of Iowa City, be of sufficient size and experience to accomplish the work, and be licensed in the State of Iowa. Probable Scope: VA proposes to construct a new 400 car parking garage on the Iowa City VA campus. DO NOT REQUEST A SOLICITATION.
