Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format of FAR Subpart 12.6, in conjunction with FAR Part 13. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The Request for Quote solicitation number is M67001-10-Q-0023. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-37 and DCN 20091014. This acquisition is a total small business set aside. The applicable NAICS code is 332313. The FSC Code is 5340. The MCI East Contracting Office, Camp Lejeune NC 28547 has a requirement for mobile armory modules. The modules are to be installed into customer provided Quadcon containers. The mobile armory modules consist of a framework and 4 independent weapon's modules. The modules slide completely out of the framework, through the Quadcon's open doors, to allow access to stored weapons. The modules must have a triple locking system to prevent unauthorized access to weapons. Each module must have an engineered telescoping slide, with a working load of at least 1,000Lbs. The bearings must provide even dispersion of forces in the profile rails to assure longer system life and stability. The slide system (bearings, rails, slides, etc) must be able to function regardless of environmental contaminants, such as sand/water/dirt/etc, and be self-cleaning. For installation in the Quadcon, the framework is approximately 6'x7'4"x4'5" outside dimensions. Each individual module is approximately 12"x7'x5'10". Each module has sliding/lockable doors and holds a variety of weapons as seen in the attached document.. The government is looking for 4 of each module types 1 and 4 with two frame works, please see the details below. For more details on what weapons the modules hold. Frame, modules, weapons racks, and all components therein are to be made entirely of Aluminum. The framework and modules are to be powder coated. The required delivery date is 16 January 2010. Drawings of the modules are required. The Evaluation - The Government will award a purchase order resulting from this solicitation to the responsible quoter whose quote conforming to the solicitation will be most advantageous to the Government. The following factors shall be used to evaluate quotations: drawings, price, technical specifications, and meeting the delivery requirements. Evaluation factors are not weighted. Quotations will be evaluated in an efficient and minimally burdensome fashion, and quotes may be comparatively evaluated pursuant to FAR 13.106-2(b).Required Information: (a) Price Quotes: The price quote may be provided in the schedule or by separate correspondence; (b) Technical Capability; (c) Delivery time; (d) Vendor Information: The vendor information includes DUNS number, Cage Code, Tax I.D. number, email address; and business size; (e) Representations and Certifications: The contractor is required to complete clauses FAR 52.212-3 and DFARS 252.212-7000 and a return a copy with their quotation.
