- CONSTRUCT A MODIFICATION/REPAIR TO EXISTING WASTEWATER SYSTEM AT THE HISTORIC GROSSI "M" RANCH, POINT REYES NATIONAL SEASHORE The National Park Service (NPS) has a requirement for the construction of a modification/repair to an existing wastewater system located at the Historic Grossi "M" Ranch within Point Reyes National Seashore. The work of this project consists of installing a new 1,200 gallon septic tank for a three-bedroom house, tie-in a septic tank from another neighboring 3-bedroom house to the new septic tank, connect waste lines from both houses to the new tank, test for water tightness, and construct an effluent waste disposal field and other related tasks per the project Specifications. The Contractor will be responsible for obtaining all permits and approval of design drawings from the County of Marin Environmental Health Services. All work will be performed under a single lump sum contract. The project performance period will not to exceed 180 days after receipt of a notice to proceed. The Request for Proposal (RFP) will be available via electronic commerce only and can be accessed on or after Friday, December 11, 2009 at either http://www.fbo.gov or directly through the DOI National Business Center site at http://ideasec.nbc.gov. Due to the urgency of the repair, the due date for receipt of proposals will be Tuesday, December 29, 2009 by 5:00PM. The contractor is responsible for periodically checking the website for any Amendments that may be issued prior to the closing date of the RFP. A SITE TOUR has been formally scheduled for Thursday, December 17, 2009 at 1:00PM. Interested parties shall meet Project Manager Kirsten Hardin in the parking lot area of Point Reyes National Seashore Headquarters, located at 1 Bear Valley Road, Point Reyes Station, CA 94956. This project work is identified under NAICS 237220 with the magnitude of construction estimated between $25,000 and $100,000. This acquisition is unrestricted. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which, if timely received, will be considered. The NPS welcomes the participation of small, minority, women, and disabled veteran owned business enterprises.
