- Description
- The Forest Service anticipates awarding a performanced based service contract for advisory and assistance services for technical and operational services to the Northern Region Geospatial Services Group and Vegetation Analysis Team. Services shall include but not limited to the operational support for projects and applications such as; remote sensing/GIS support, information management for vegetation mapping projects, and database analysis and maintenance. Provide remote sensing/GIS technical and analytical assistance to the R1 Regional Office’s Vegetation Classification, Mapping, Inventory, and Analysis (CMIA) program. Perform remote sensing/GIS and related analysis designed to support management of forest, range, watersheds, minerals, and other natural resources. Provide scripting and programming services using USFS corporate geospatial software and major programming/scripting languages to support process automation and geospatial application development. Majority of services shall be provided at the Northern Region Headquarters, 200 East Broadway, Federal Building, Missoula, MT. Virtual/remote support may be allowed if authorized in writing by the Contracting Officer. On occasion contractor may be required to work on-site at any location with the Northern Region. The Request for Proposal will be issued on or about December 28, 2010, and will be due on or about January 27, 2010. The performance period is from date of award thru January 31, 2011, and the Government has the option to renew the contract for 4 additional one-year periods. No site visit is scheduled.
