- The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Carderock Division (NSWCCD), Code 6160, requires support services to maintain and repair a Physical Electronics 5400 X-ray Photoelectron Spectrometer for a period of one (1) year. To fulfill this requirement NSWCCD intends to negotiate a non-competitive procurement withPhysical Electronics located in Chanhassen, MN 55317. Physical Electronics is the original equipment manufacturer and only supplier of proprietary parts and software required for maintenance and repair of the equipment. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all responsible sources submitting proposals within 15 days after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
