- THIS IS AN AMERICAN RECOVERY AND REINVESTMENT ACT (ARRA) PROCUREMENT. The purpose of this announcement is to make notice that the Forest Service contemplates releasing a solicitation numbered AG-0489-S-10-0110 on or about December 28, 2009, for the RECOVERY Timberline Parking Lot Improvements project. If the solicitation is released, it will be released through this FedBizOpps website, and prospective bidders should visit this FedBizOpps website from time to time on or after December 28, 2009 to obtain a copy of the solicitation. This notice meets the requirements of FAR 5.201. However, the Forest Service reserves the right not to release a solicitation. PROJECT DESCRIPTION. This project includes traffic control; removal of sidewalk asphalt; construction staking; placing riprap with geotextile fabric; installing paving reinforcement grid; paving parking lots; skin patching; crack cleaning and sealing; removing and installing jersey barriers; installing curbing and constructing a concrete underdrain; risers for manhole and water mains; pipe sleeves for future waterline and/or communication system; protect historic curb in front of Main Lodge while replacing old asphalt with new asphalt sidewalk; level out old snow posts prior to paving; striping; haul pit run & riprap from Tamarack Pit and aggregate from a commercial source; processing aggregate; sealing loading dock; mobilization of equipment; and asphalt milling along State Highway and sidewalks. The intent of this contract is to provide for the complete project described in the contract. Unless otherwise provided, the Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, equipment, tools, transportation, and supplies and perform all work required to complete the project in accordance with the specifications and provisions of the contract. The Government’s estimate is between $500,000 and $1,000,000. PROJECT LOCATION. The project is on the Zig Zag Ranger District of the Mt. Hood National Forest. This project can be located as follows: from the east end of Government Camp, OR turn left onto State Highway 173 (Forest Road 50), Timberline Road and follow the road 6 miles to Timberline Lodge. PARTICIPATION. This project is being advertised under the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program which allows for Full and Open Competition. FOR MORE INFORMATION.
