Description
FBO Announcement - RFP10000025 WLAN & Wired Guest Enterprise Solution The United States House of Representatives (House) Chief Administrative Officer, House Information Resources (HIR) - Network Unified Communications (NUC) group, seeks full-and-open competition among vendors who can provide effective, reliable, and cost-efficient communications network products and services for the House. The House intends to unify the House's current (wired) Wide Area Network (WAN) with that of a newly developed Wireless Local Area Network (WLAN) and Wired Guest Enterprise Solution at various locations on the House Capitol Hill campus in Washington, DC. Specifically, the House requests proposals to establish an IDIQ contract or contracts to provide product/equipment enterprise solutions to facilitate a phased deployment of WLAN 802.11n mixed mode and wired guest access in the Rayburn, Cannon, Longworth, and Ford House Office Buildings and the House portions of the U.S. Capitol. The House intends initially developing "hot spots" in select locations such as cafeterias, hearing rooms, and other common meeting areas and then growing the system throughout the House campus over a contract period of three years. Contractors are sought to provide creative and cost effective solutions to provision network management tools, hardware/software, training, and on-going a la carte maintenance of WLAN 802.11n mixed mode and wired guest access products. The House is particularly interested in prior WLAN & wired guest enterprise solution experiences with government agencies. The solicitation and other information and forms may be downloaded from the House Web site: http://www.house.gov/cao-opp/currentsol.shtml. A full reading of the solicitation and associated documents is encouraged prior to submitting any questions. The House is not responsible for incomplete or inaccurate republishing of this notice by third parties. E-mail addresses are provided for responses to this RFP only and are expressly not intended to be added to general solicitation or "subscription" lists, i.e., consider this an "opt-out" notice.
