Description
For Informational Purposes Only: This modification to existing GSA Contract GS-23F-0165, Task Order HHSM-500-2008-00370G, which was previously competed, is to assist CMS in responding to new FISMA requirements, drive compliance, and plan for applying these new requirements going forward. CMS will need to develop a strategy for addressing the revised FISMA guidance. The first step in this process will be to develop an understanding of the current state environment. The work to be performed under this modification includes: -Indentify the flow of information through the organization with particular focus on financial data and protected health information (PHI) -Develop an engineering study of CMS' IT enterprise environment to include, but not limited to, Enterprise Data Centers (EDCs), Fiscal INtermediaries (FIs), Carriers, Medicare Advantage Contractors (MACs), and QualityNet (Qnet). This overview should focus on locating key data and the elements of the enterprise environment that support cyber security controls -Identify key stakeholders in CMS' cyber security program -Current or planned cyber security initiatives and key security processes that support CMS' environment; including Centers for Disease Control (CDC) Incident Response and HHS' Secure One. This work is funded thorugh the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act.
