Description
RECOVERY—THIS NOTICE IS PROVIDED FOR INFORMATION PURPOSES ONLY. THIS NOTICE IS NOT A NOTICE FOR SOLICITATION OF OFFERS. THE ACTION DESCRIBED HEREIN IS A MODIFICATION TO AN EXISTING CONTRACT, DOLJ09UA00027. THIS OPPORTUNITY WAS AVAILABLE ONLY TO THE CONTRACTOR IDENTIFIED BELOW. This opportunity was available only to the Del-Jen, Inc under contract number DOLJ09UA00027. The Office of the Assistant Secretary for Administration and Management on behalf of the Office of Job Corps intends to award a modification in the amount of $112,909 to the Mississippi Job Corps Center, operated by Del-Jen, Inc. These funds are provided under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA). The funding is within the not-to-exceed ceiling for Equipment on this contract. It would have been impracticable to use a fixed price contract to secure services of the kind or quality required for this modification, since the modification was to an existing Cost Plus Incentive Fee contract (Cost Reimbursement Contract). The funding is intended to address the following program initiatives: 1) CTT auto and construction curriculum; 2) Green Equipment Projects at the Mississippi Job Corps Center; and 3) to be directed to electric and electric hybrid vehicles for operation on Job Corps centers. These funds may be used for all expenses related to the acquisition of electric vehicles, including purchase of vehicles, shipping and delivery costs, training on use of vehicle, and additional equipment such as batteries and supplies. In addition, Job Corps centers with automotive career technical training (CTT) programs will use this opportunity to acquire electric hybrid vehicles as student training aids, to provide hands-on technical training in “green” vehicle technologies. This Modification has been awarded on December 10, 2009. Contracting Office Address: United States Department of Labor OASAM 61 Forsyth Street, SW, Room 6B36 Atlanta, GA 30303 Place of Performance: Mississippi Job Corps Center Crystal Springs, MS 39059
