Description
The Government has interest in new technology for a secured USB device which will meet the approximate specifications below. Please proivde sufficient product literature along with 15 sample devices which will be returned following Government testing and analysis. *Note: The equipment will be mailed at the contractor's expense and upon completion of testing analysis we will send out notification to the contractors to arrange for pick-up of smaple devices at contractor's expense. ******No Phone Calls will be accepted on this Sources Sought****** Technical Specification for a FDCC compliant desktop image on a FIPS 140-2 Level 3 validated USB: The USB device used for deployment of a FDDC compliant desktop image must: - be USB 2.0 high speed - have passed the stringent Security Level 3 tests for the FIPS 140-2 standard and has tamper-evident design that includes: hardened epoxy potting compound completely encasing the chips, secure key management - encryption keys are born on the device in the Crypto-chip and bound to the device, and hard-wired encryption key self-destruct defenses and electromagnetic shielding of the Crypto-chip. - be a ruggedized tamper-resistant, one-piece aluminum case enclosure that is waterproof to military specifications which protects the critical components and has strong AES 256-bit hardware encryption and active malware defenses safeguard. The AES 256-bit hardware encryption shall automatically protects files - no software to install and uses the algorithm required by DoD for storing Top Secret data. - be capable of being centrally managed (remote management) where the government has the ability to enforce security policies on fleets of USB drives, securely recover devices, provide self-service password recovery, and able to remotely destroy drives that has been distributed/deployed and are actively being used. - be able to run the FDCC compliant Windows XP OS, and upgradable to Windows 7 OS. - have active malware defenses, auto-run protection which secures against AutoRun worms, read-only mode which enables the device to be unlocked to read files but prevents malware on untrusted hosts from infecting the drive, trusted network restriction that prevents the drive from mounting on uncontrolled PCs - have all research and development for the device performed in the USA and boards built and drives assembled in secure facilities in the USA -available in high-capacity 16GB models Dimensions: 75mm X 19mm X 9mm Weight:.9 oz (25 grams) Waterproof MIL-STD-810F Operate at temperature ranges between 0° C and+70° C Operating System Encryption Compatibility Windows 2000 SP4 Windows XP SP2+ Vista Macintosh OS X 10.4+ Hardware Encryption Data: AES Cipher-Block Chained mode Encryption Keys: 256-bit Hardware DRNG PKI: 2048-bit RSA Hashing: 256-bit SHA FIPS Validations: 140-2 Level 3
