Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation Number W912EE-10-T-0015 is being issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ) with the intent to award as a simplified acquisition. The solicitation document and incorporated provision and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-37. THIS PROCUREMENT IS BEING COMPETED ON AN UN-RESTRICTED BASIS USING FULL & OPEN COMPETITION AS DEFINED IN FAR PT. 2. The NAICS code for this procurement is 423860; with a size standard of 100 Employees for a firm fixed price contract. This procurement may be quoted as follows: Line Item 0001, Supply & Deliver (40) 24 inch Lift Out Plain Hatch Man Holds with Aluminum Deck Lids and Steel Rings; USACE-Vicksburg District, Dredge Jadwin, Unit: Lump Sum. Lump Sum Price:$____________. Product Specifications: The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Vicksburg District, has a requirement for (40) new 24 inch lift out plain hatch man holds with aluminum deck lids and steel rings. The Hatch Covers to be supplied under this contract are to replace the current man holds and covers that are damaged, leaking and in disrepair, they shall be new meeting the following minimum specifications. The current hatch covers are manufactured by BAIER Hatch Company, Inc and are model BFHR-24 Flush Hatch Lift out Plain Dogged Type. The replacement covers shall maintain the proper water tight fit and be equal to or better than the current covers with the following salient characteristics: "24 inch hatch assembles with aluminum deck covers and steel outer rings "Lift-Out plain dogged type with grab handles "Type C positive locking "Water tight with neoprene gaskets "Weld in, flush mounting Delivery: Delivery will be within 30 to 45 days after award. Quoted price shall include delivery (FOB Destination): M/F Dredge Jadwin 2449 Haining Road Vicksburg, MS 39183 Acceptance shall be at delivery. Warranty: The Contractor shall furnish the Government, the manufacturers standard commercial warranty for the product. Evaluation of Offers: All quotes submitted will be evaluated for technical acceptability. Technical acceptability for this acquisition is defined as the ability to provide a product in the specified time frame, that will sufficiently meet the minimum requirements outlined in the specifications and is an acceptable replacement equal to or better than the current product. The government will issue award to the supplier whose quote is the lowest price of those determined to meet at least the minimum requirements for technical acceptability as listed in the product specifications. Pre-Award Submittals; the contractor shall submit information verifying that the product will meet the requirements of this solicitation including but not limited to product brochures, photos, technical drawings, etc. Failure to submit sufficient information for the government to determine technical acceptability of the product may be cause for the rejection of the quote. Before a complete evaluation of quotes can be made offerors shall provided Offeror Representations and Certifications for their company. The preferred method for completing offeror representations and certifications is to register on the ORCA web site at https://orca.bpn.gov/login.aspx. Offerors not wishing to register online must print complete and include FAR Clause 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications with their quote package. The government intends to make a single award for one lump sum including the entire scope of the work described. Offers for less than the required scope of work will not be accepted. The Government intends to award without discussions (while reserving the right to hold discussions if determined advantageous to the Government), and offerors are encouraged to provide their best proposed pricing in their initial offer. CCR registration is necessary, if you are not registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database, an award CANNOT be made to your company.
