RECOVERY (ARRA) Post Award Notice RECOVERY (ARRA) Retro-Commissioning and Mechanical/Electrical Upgrades Robert J. Dole U.S.Courthouse 500 State Avenue. Kansas City, KS RECOVERY ACT PROCUREMENT. THIS NOTICE IS PROVIDED FOR INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY. This project is funded through the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009. This procurement was made under the Construction Manager (CM) Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity Task Order Contract for the Kansas City Metropolitan Area. ''' _**ONLY the contractor listed was permitted to submit a proposal for this task order.**** Award was made to Gastinger and Walker Architects, Inc., 817 Wyandotte Street, Kansas City, MO in the amount of $161,062. The Federal Supply Code is R499 (Other professional services). The North American Industrial Classification Code is 236220 and the size standard is $33.5 million. Under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) of 2009, funding has been released to provide general improvements to the mechanical and electrical systems. Potential items to be captured in the final construction directives may include: (a) installation of metering and metered reporting capabilities to numerous electrical and mechanical devices. (b) retro-commission mechanical and electrical systems to determine current situations and undertake actions where necessary to optimize systems/reduce energy requirements, (c) undertake actions to improve building infiltration issues, (d) install energy-friendly lighting and daylighting controls, (e) make corrections to chilled water piping system to better the operation of chillers, (1) replace chillers, and (g) refurbish cooling towers.
