Description

The purpose of this amendment is to post questions and answers and make the corrections that this is a total small business set- aside. Questions and Answers for the Gabrielson Annex and Renovations 1. What are the programmatic functions expected to be within the building. Existing is offices/library/conference room/computer room.2. What is the age, size, condition of the existing Gabrielson Building? Are there photos available? Built 1970, 66K Sq Ft, needs work-most systems are end of useful life. Pictures attached.3. Will there be another solicitation that will be sent out to cover the construction phase of the project? Yes4. Will the design team be responsible for constructing the project as well? Depends if they win the construction bid once funding is approved.5. If the LEED commissioning agent is to be separate from the design and construction team, will there be a separate solicitation for commissioning? Separate solicitation for Commissioning.6. Does the new construction or the renovation work involve scientific laboratories? If so, can you give me a general idea of the types of lab work that is being conducted? See item number eight. 7. You've indicated that you prefer electronic submissions. Just to be clear- if I submit my SF330 as a PDF file via e-mail to you, do I need to submit a hard copy to the Reston VA address as well? No 8. For questions number two in reference to availability of photos please make your request to abenton@usgs.gov and for question number six general idea for for type of lab work conducted.
