Description

THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS: The Department of Veteran's Affairs, Bay Pines VA Healthcare System, intends to solicit and negotiate a non-competitive contract to bioMerieux, Inc. to furnish VITEK 2 reagents on a cost-per-consumable basis for one (1) base year and (4) option years. The VITEK 2- 60 reader will be provided at no charge and is compatible with the existing computer system. Maintenance, service and training shall be included. The proposed contract award for supplies and services to only one service is authorized by the Federal Acquisition Regulation. Interested persons may respond with details of their products and technical capability. All information received by 2 p.m. EST, December 31, 2009 will be considered by the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
