- Description
- This is a request for Standard Form 330, not a request for proposal. Provide Professional Architectural Engineering Design services for the construction of a 3150 SF new building with future addition of two more floors and remodeling of existing 6000 SF for Project # 537-321: Remodel and Expand Space for Material Management Service at Jesse Brown VA Medical Center, Chicago, Illinois. This work is primarily architectural and planning in scope but will also include mechanical/electrical/plumbing/fire protection engineering. Scope of work may include field verification of existing conditions, preparation of schematic designs, space plans, construction documents, specifications, cost estimates, review of shop drawings and sample submittals, construction period services and site visits during construction. Scope of work includes construction of a 3150 SF new building with future addition of two more floors and remodeling of approx.6,000 SF of existing space. Program requirements shall include Staff and Administrative rooms, Warehouse Areas, Staff Lounge, Lockers & Toilets. Scope of work shall include design of new HVAC system and distribution system, lighting and power design, plumbing and fire protection systems, GEMS requirements for specification of new materials, disposal of removed materials, and incorporation of Energy Conservation measures in design documents. Estimated construction cost is between $2,000,000 - $5,000,000. Area of consideration is restricted to 100 miles of Jesse Brown VA Medical Center, Chicago, Illinois. This is an unrestricted procurement. NAICS code of 541330 applies with a size standard of $4.5 million. Submit two (2) copies of SF 330 with appropriate documentation by close of business January 19, 2010. Selection criteria will be based on: 1) Past performance on similar projects, maintaining project schedules and project budgets; (2) Overall engineering design experience and capability with architectural, mechanical and electrical renovation projects; (3) Qualifications and experience of personnel proposed to be assigned, with special emphasis on field personnel to be utilized; (4) Knowledge in design and construction requirements; (5) Cost control effectiveness; (6) Location of offices supporting project; and (7) Ability to produce all plan documents on a CAD system fully compatible with Autocad.
