Description
The Fleet & Industrial Supply Center, Jacksonville FL intends to issue a combine synopsis/ solicitation prepared in accordance with the format in FAR 12.6., in conjunction with FAR 13.5, as applicable, and as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This requirement is to purchase 20 potable water tanks as part of a weight savings initiative for the E-6B aircraft. The Navy intends to replace the stainless steel tank on all sixteen (16) E-6 aircraft with a non-metallic tank that offers substantial weight savings while still meeting all performance requirements. Proposals are being requested and a request for quote (RFQ) number N68836-10-T-0036 will be issued to facilitate electronic quote submissions. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular number 2005-36. This requirement is a total small business set-aside. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this acquisition is 336411; small business size standard is 1500 employees. The Government anticipates award of one firm fixed price purchase order. Line Item 0001 - 20 each potable water tanks. Provision 52.252-1; Solicitation Provisions Incorporated by Reference. Registration in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) Database is a requirement for award goes to www.ccr.gov to register. Parties responding to this solicitation may submit their offer in accordance with their standard commercial practices (e.g. on company letterhead, formal quote form, etc.) but must include the following information: 1) company's complete mailing and remittance addresses, 2) discounts for prompt payment if applicable 3) cage code, 4) Dun & Bradstreet number, 5) Taxpayer ID number. Offerors shall include a completed copy of the provision at 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications-Commercial Items with their offer. The Government intends to make a single award to the eligible, responsible offeror whose offer conforms to the solicitation, and is the most advantageous to the Government whose offer is the Lowest Price Technically Acceptable (LPTA). An offer is technically acceptable if its technical capabilities conform to the Government's Statement of Work and instructions of Tank Drawing.
