- NSWC, Panama City, Florida intends to solicit Nova Electric 100 School St., Bergenfield, NJ 07621-2915 on a sole source basis for two (2) UPS, Model NGRS11-2.5K60-115-120-8113. This item is not suitable for full and open competition for the following reasons. These units will be used in the LCS-MVCS (Multiple Vehicle Communication System) Ship Sets for shipboard use. These Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) meet the requirement stated in the MVCS SSS. The design of the MVCS system hardware/software will not permit the installation of another UPS without extensive re-work and design changes, which would ultimately affect MVCS budget and scheduled delivery to the fleet. The Request for Quote (RFQ) number is N61331-10-T-2005. Simplified Acquisition Procedures is the method of award for this procurement. The NAICS code is 335999 with a small business size standard of 1,000 employees. The order shall be firm fixed price with the anticipated award date of January 6,2010. Delivery will be to the Naval Support Activity Panama City, Receiving Officer Building 100, 101 Vernon Avenue, Panama City, FL 32407-7001. Delivery terms for this requirement are FOB Destination. In order to be eligible for award firms must be registered in the Central Contractor Registry (CCR). Vendors may obtain information on registration in the CCR by calling 1-888-227-2423, or via the Internet at http://www.ccr.gov. Please note that defense payment office may not make payment unless the contractor is established to receive electronic funds transfer (EFT). EFT payments are based on the contractor's EFT information contained in the CCR database. The NSWCPC has implemented Electronic Commerce (EC) in the acquisition area. Therefore, this synopsis and any applicable amendments will be available at https://www.fbo.gov. Vendors should regularly access this web site to ensure that they have downloaded all amendments.
