- RECOVERY- COMPUTATIONAL APPLIANCE FOR THE RAPID PREDICTION OF AIRCRAFTTRAJECTORIES(CARPAT). THIS NOTICE IS PROVIDED FOR INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY. THIS SBIRPHASE III OPPORTUNITY IS AVAILABLE ONLY TO OPTIMAL SYNTHESIS AS A CONTINUATION OFPREVIOUS WORK DONE UNDER SBIR PHASE II CONTRACT NNX08CA02C IN ORDER TO PROVIDE SOFTWARETHAT WILL REDUCE THE COMPUTATIONAL TIME REQUIRED FOR THE "FUTURE AIR TRAFFIC MANAGEMENTCONCEPTS EVALUATION TOOL" (FACET) TO EVALUATE ADVANCED AIR TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT CONCEPTS OFTHE FUTURE. NASA/ARC intends to issue an Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) Phase III contractto Optimal Synthesis; titled: Computational Appliance for the Rapid Prediction ofAircraft Trajectories. The purpose of this SBIR Phase III is to provide a software toolthat will explore the impact and benefits of new concepts and reduce the computationaltime required for the FACET tool to evaluate advanced air traffic management concepts ofthe future and is funded by the Recovery Act. The original SBIR for the development of a Computational Appliance for the Prediction ofAircraft Trajectories was awarded on a competitive basis under SBIR Phase I & IIcontracts; NNX07CA13P and NNX08CA02C in FY '07 AND FY '08 respectively.Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice.
