Description
NASA is hereby soliciting information about potential sources for the NationalAeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) Goddard Space Flight Center (GSFC) bysoliciting capability statements and information from potential sources for services insupport of Land Mobile Radio (LMR) Maintenance function. The requirements for this effortinclude preventative and corrective maintenance for all components which comprise GSFCsUltra High Frequency (UHF) LMR system as defined in Section II of the Statement of Work(GSFC LMR - System Definition), and maintain the coverage and services provided by theexisting system; maintain all system software, inform NASA when software updates areavailable, and install the software required to activate new product features or improvethe security and availability of the LMR system; and provide replacement parts to supportcorrective maintenance service requirements, and allow NASA to purchase hand-held radios,desktop radios, and compatible accessories for the term of the contract.GSFC is seeking capabilities from all potential sources for the purpose of determiningthe appropriate level of competition. The recommended NAICS Code is 811211. This sourcessought synopsis is for informational and planning purposes only and is not to beconstrued as a commitment by the Government nor will the Government pay for anyinformation solicited. Since this is a sources sought announcement, no evaluating letterand/or results will be issued to the respondents. Respondents deemed fully qualified willbe considered in any resultant solicitation for the requirement. You are requested toprovide electronic responses (10-page maximum including attachments) via email to theprimary Point of Contact (POC) for this requirement. Your response is required by January4, 2010. To facilitate a prompt review by the NASA Team, a one-page summary shall beincluded with your capability statement(s), which identifies your companys specificcapabilities that are relevant to the requirements. Specific engineering and/or technicalexamples of relevant experience, including detailed descriptions, are recommended.Companies are also requested to provide their name; address; primary POC and telephonenumber; total number of employees; your Government size standard/type classification(Large, Small, Small Disadvantaged, 8(a), Woman-owned, Service Disabled Veteran, HUBZone,business, or Historically Black Colleges or Universities) on the summary page. Thesummary page will not count against the maximum page limit. It is insufficient to provideonly general brochures or generic information. This feedback should also be providedelectronically via e-mail to the primary POC by January 4, 2010.Responses must include the following: name and address of firm, size of business; numberof employees; ownership; whether they are large, small, small disadvantaged, 8(a),HUBZone, and/or woman owned; number of years in business; affiliate information; parentcompany; joint venture partners; potential teaming partners; prime contractor (ifpotential sub) or subcontractors (if potential prime); and list of customers covering thepast three years. The Government reserves the right to consider a small business or 8(A) set-aside based onresponses hereto. All responses shall be submitted to Marcus Straughter no later thanJanuary 4, 2010.
