RECOVERY ACT UPGRADE AND REPLACE BOILER PLANT EQUIPMENTProject # R540-09-505 Solicitation #VA-244-10-RA-0070 NAICS Code: 238220, small business size standard $13 million Project Range: $250,000 - $500,000 Louis A Johnson, VAMC 1 Medical Center Dr Clarksburg, WV 26301 Pre-solicitation Description (FAR 5.204) The Contractor shall provide site preparation for building operations, including demolition and removal of existing structures and furnish all labor, materials, equipment and supervision to perform work described in drawings and specifications for Recovery Act Upgrade and Replace Boiler Plant Equipment, Project #R540-09-505. The contractor shall begin performance within 14 calendar days and complete it within 150 calendar days after receiving the notice to proceed. Construction trades / disciplines include but are not limited to plumbing, electrical, mechanical, boilers and HVAC. Construction services in the area will not require phasing but coordination for the shutting down of boilers during construction will require scheduling with other areas of the facility. Contractors should identify plan/strategy for safety, dust control and be able to provide training certifications for workers. FBO solicitation notice will provide pre-proposal site visit date and time tentatively set for January 12, 2010 at 10AM in room 488 of the Louis A Johnson, VA Medical Center, Clarksburg, WV. After award of the contract additional sets of the specifications and drawings will be made available to the successful offeror. A Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business Set Aside and award pursuant to 38 USC 8127(d) is contemplated. Contractor must be registered in Central Contract Registry (CCR). Contractor must complete representation and certifications for their company. Contractor should provide proof of West Virginia Contracting License (FAR 52.236-7), Insurance, and Bid Guarantee as part of their submission. Proof of performance and payments bonds availability will be required with submission. Full solicitation set to release on or before 12/31/2009 on FBO Contract award pending the availability of funds.
