- This presolicitation is being modified to state that this project will be completed in phases. The Louisville VA Medical center has a requirement for a construction contractor to convert room numbers #A732a, A732b,A732c and A732d to patient sleeping rooms. These rooms will not be used immediately for sleeping rooms and will need to retain their functionality as offices. Provisions will need to be made to easily complete the conversion in the future by VA staff. Convert Room #A731 to staff breakroom. Improvements in Break room #A730. This work is Phase I of a two Phase project. Rooms A732a,A732b,A732c and A732d will be completed one room at a time with time allowed between each room for the VA to relocate the office occupant. Work performed in the corridor will be contained to small arrears and may be required to be performed in the late evening or at night. This work cannot interfere with the operation of this department. Work in rooms A730 and A731 will be performed concurrently and after the other rooms are completed. All bidding materials, drawings, specifications will be available at the time the solicitation is announced for download from the Federal Business Opportunities website at www.fbo.gov on or before January 5, 2010. All offerors are advised that they are responsible for obtaining amendments to this solicitation at the website prior to the response time.
