- Description
- The contractor to provide containment, transportation, and disposal of clean solid and liquid waste generated from USGS drilling requirements in Chula Vista California. The solid waste material will be composed of moist clays, silts, sands and gravels. The liquid waste will be composed of sediment laden bentonite drill mud. The location in Chula Vista will be near San Diego Country Club on L st between hwy 5 and 805. Latitude 3236'59.89"N Longitude 117 3'33.50"W The estimated period of performance is 45 days. The work is scheduled to begin on or about 25 January 2010 and run until approximately 10 March 2010. The site is expected to generate approximately 400 tons of combined liquid and solid waste. The RFQ will be made available to interested parties through email to the Purhcasing Agent, Gerry Lewandowski glewando@usgs.gov. The USGS intends to award this requirement in accordance with FAR Part 13, "Simplified Acquisition Procedures" and FAR Part 12, "Acquisition of Comercial Items". Request for Quote 10WRQQ0056 will be made available through the Government Wide Point of Entry on or about December 17, 2009. All vendors requesting the RFQ should be active in CCR and current in ORCA. To enroll in either CCR or ORCA, go to "www.ccr.gov" for instructions. All responsible sources may submit an quote which shall be considered by the agency. The associated NAICS is 562219, "Other Nonhazardous Waste Treatment and Disposal", with an associated size standard of $12.5 Million Dollars. Anticipated award date is 15 January 2010.
