Description
The VA Boston Healthcare System intends to negotiate and procure on a sole source basis the supplies for the Ventana Staining System Benchmark XT located in Tuscon, AZ. This procurement of the supplies includes Vendor to supply the reagent kits and consumables compatible with the Ventana Symphony H&E Stainer and the Ventana Benchmark stainer.All reagents to have longest possible outdate, preferably 1 year. All kits should provide uniform results in staining quality from lot to lot. All reagents and kits should be in ready to use form for the Ventana strainers, no adapting or manual dilutions. Vendor to be able to supply cover slips usable and compatible with both instruments. Vendor should be able to supply reagent kits customizable for the VA population. All Benchmark reagents are to have barcode compatibility with our system. All reagents are to be xylene free. Vendor to supply MSDS and an alert with any product formulation changes REAGENTS TO BE CALLED IN AS NEEDED, QUANTITIES ARE NOT GUARANTEED. This procurement is being conducted under FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other vendor or product will satisfy agency requirements. To the best of our knowledge Ventana Staining Systems is the only authorized distributor of this equipment. The NAICS 334516 with a size standard of 500 employees. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. No solicitation document is available and telephone requests will not be accepted. However, any firm that believes it can meet these requirements may give written notification to the Contracting Officer within seven (5) calendar days from the date of publication of this synopsis. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail, to demonstrate the ability to comply with the above requirements. This information can be faxed to Darlene Chase at 774-826-3347. Responses will be evaluated however, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
