- Justification for Other Than Full and Open Competition for RFQ-NAS-0104-10 Clauses and Provisions for RFQ-NAS-0104-10 This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation, and quotes are being requested. A written solicitation WILL NOT be issued. The solicitation number is RFQ-NAS-0104-10 and is issued as a Request for Quote (RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-38. This RFQ is issued on an unrestricted basis under North American Industry Classification System code 334119. The Federal Bureau of Prisons (BOP) intends to make a single award to for the following brand name items: CLIN ATFS717SC - Allied Telesis Network Switches 1 port fiber 100 baseFX (SC connector) multi-mode, 16 ports copper RJ-45 1000 baseTX, rack mountable 19", 110V, quantity 50 each; and CLIN AT802FC - Allied Telesis Network Switches 2 port fiber 100 baseFX (SC connector) multi-mode, 24 ports copper RJ-45 100 baseTX, rack mountable 19", 110V, quantity 40 each. All quotes shall be FOB Destination with delivery to Federal Bureau of Prison, 320 First Street, N. W., Washington, DC 20534. This combined synopsis/solicitation will be distributed solely through the website at www.fedbizopps.gov. All future information concerning this acquisition, including amendments, will be distributed through the website. Faith-based and community-based organizations can submit quotes equally with other organizations for contracts for which they are eligible. The Justification for Other Than Full and Open Competition is included as an attachment to the combined synopsis/solicitation. Provisions and Clauses applicable to this acquisition are included as an attachment to this combined synopsis/solicitation. The due date for quotes is December 28, 2009 at 12:00 noon, Eastern time.
