- Recovery Action - Duns# 078576738, This modification is issued to obligate American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (Recovery Act) of 2009 funds for the purpose of providing $2,000,000.00 in operations funding ($1.5 M equipment and $500K operating) to the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory to support construction of a high-field superconducting test dipole at the laboratory, which will be used to test high-field high temperature superconductors for the next generations of accelerator magnets being developed. This is incremental funding added to a competitively awarded contract. The contract is a cost type contract because the nature of the research and development mission precludes the reasonable estimates of costs needed for a firm, fixed-price contract type.
