- Description
- The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), Animal Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS), International Services Division (IS), is seeking contractor(s) to provide aerial release of sterilized fruit flies in Tijuana, Baja California, Mexico and Reynosa, Tamaulipas, Mexico. For Reynosa, the aerial dispersals shall take place in Northern Tamaulipas over seven municipalities bordering the United States, with Miguel Aleman at the western end and Matamoros at the eastern end of the dispersal area. For Tijuana, the aerial dispersals shall be done in three municipalities of Northern Baja California, specifically, one grid per municipality, which cover the urban areas of Tijuana, Tecate and Rosarito. The Request for Proposal may result in multiple contract awards. The Government may award to one offeror for both locations or make multiple awards and award the two locations separately. The Contractor(s) shall furnish all management, supervision, qualified personnel and equipment, to provide the aerial release services in accordance with the requirements specified in the solicitation. Award of Firm-Fixed Price Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity commercial services contract(s) contract are anticipated for these services. The effective period of the contract shall be on or about April 1, 2010, or date of award, whichever is later. The contract will include a base year with the option to extend the contract for an additional four (4) years. The solicitation, AG-6395-S-10-0025, will be released at www.fedbizopps.gov on or about January 5, 2010. After release, one may download a copy of the solicitation at www.fedbizopps.gov. NOTIFICATIONS WILL NOT BE SENT TO OFFERER'S REGARDING THE ISSUANCE OF THE SOLICITATION NOR ANY OF ITS AMENDMENTS. IT IS THE OFFERER'S RESPONSIBILITY TO CHECK THIS WEB SITE PERIODICALLY FOR AMENDMENTS. Proposals shall be submitted to the contracting activity by the date and time indicated in the invitation for proposal. All proposals shall have the solicitation number placed on the front of the proposal envelope.
