- Description
- This contract action is for the design and construction services for which the Government intends to solicit a sole source with only Clark/Balfour Beatty JV, under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. The Vision Center of Excellence (VCOE) will be located in the space currently occupied by the Main Street Navy Exchange (NEX) Uniform Shop and the Morale, Welfar and Recreation (MWR) Office. The completed VCOE project will occupy 3,650 gross square feet and accommodate appromimately 28 personnel, plus administrative support spaces as identified in the attached program for design. The VCOE renovation project will displace the existing NEX and MWR functions. Scope of this project includes the renovation of existing classrooms (approximately 4,200 sf) which will serve as the new permanent location for the NEX. The MWR office will be absorbed into the existing campus. Work includes the design, hazardous material abatement (as needed), interior demolition, electrical, lighting, HVAC, plumbing, communications, ceilings, floor coverings, interior partition walls and interior fit out.
