- Under the authority of FAR 13.106-1 (b), in conjunction FAR 13, the United States Army Research, Development & Engineering Command (RDECOM) Contracting Center, Natick Contracting Division, Natick, MA 01760 5011, on behalf of the STEFD Directorate, intends to negotiate and award a contract to Aero Tec Laboratories, located at 45 Spear Road, Ramsey NJ, 07446-1221. To provide 5, 125745-S Water Storage Tanks and 5, 210351-S Potable Water Storage Tanks. The intent is to award 1 contract to procure 2 tank systems on the basis of Other than Full and Open Competition. The purpose is to procure both systems to complete water distribution set CP-DEPMED part # 5-4-8004 that is currently being assembled. Nature and description of services required to meet agency needs: Water tanks that are compatible with water distribution set CP-DEPMED part # 5-4-8004, and have equivalent salient characteristics to Aero-Tec Laboratories Inc.s model 125745 Water Storage Tank and model # 210351 Potable Water Storage Tank. Demonstration that contractor is the only source available: These tanks are part of water distribution set CP-DEPMED part # 5-4-8004. These specific tanks are required by per the parts list for the above mentioned water distribution set. Aero-Tec is the only manufacturer and distributor of these tanks. Description of the market research that was conducted and the results or a statement of the reason market research was not conducted: Market Research was conducted by the requestor and it has been determined that no one else manufactures these tanks. FEDLOG references only this manufacturers CAGE code as the manufacturer for these particular water tanks. Any other facts supporting the use of other than full and open competition: None A statement of the actions if any that an interested party may take to remove or overcome any barriers to competition before any subsequent acquisition for the supplies or services required: Information received will only be considered for future acquisitions.
