- THIS IS A NOTICE OF INTENT. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR QUOTATION or ISSUED AS A SOLICITATION. A SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ISSUED AND QUOTES WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. THIS IS A NOTICE OF INTENT. The National Institutes of Health (NIH) office of acquisitions intends to issue a fixed price purchase order award on a sole source basis. The total cost is not expected to exceed the simplified acquisition threshold and therefore will be procured under FAR 13.106-1(b). No vendors have responded to the posted request for quotes in the form of capability statements. Thus far, the result of the sources sought determines the believed Neuro Kinetics Inc. is the only qualified contractor capable of satisfying this requirement for the National Institute of Deafness and Other Communication Disorders (NIDCD). Neuro Kinetics Inc is a small business. The North American Industry Classification System Code is 811219. Interested parties capable of satisfying this requirement may submit offers in the form of capability statements to the primary point of contact contract specialist Keith Savage. Any firm with the belief and capability to satisfy this requirement by the establish date are invited to respond by December 24, 2009. This is a commercial requirement for Computer Software Maintenance with for optional years of continued service. Travel expenses are included in the award. The contractor will provide, NOTC Premium Maintenance Plan – Hardware / Software: -Including software updates, calibration, preventive maintenance and full functional testing of NOTC system to include 51 tests and/or inspections as a preventive maintenance and to minimize potential downtime. -Extended parts warranty. -Unlimited technical phone, email and remote access support (site access dependent). -Software updates, and maintenance releases as they become available. -New products will be discounted. -Covers computer and monitor hardware. Terms and Conditions of Federal Acquisition Regulations 52.212-4 and 52.212-5 apply wherever applicable to the anticipated award. Responses to this notice will be evaluated. A determination by the government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to the notice is solely within the discretion of the government. If no responses are received, NIH will proceed with the sole source procurement awarding a contract with options to Neuro Kinetics, DUNS No.151391174.
