- The VAMC Spokane, WA intends to award a sole source contract to General Electric Company (GE Healthcare), 3000 N Grandview Blvd, Waukesha, WI 53188, to provide maintenance and repair for our Government owned Computed Tomography Scanner, sixteen-slice, Manufacturer: GE Healthcare, Model: Lightspeed 16 and our Advantage Windows Workstation for the Spokane VAMC, 4815 N Assembly St., Spokane, WA 99205. The NAICS code for the procurement is 811219 "Other Electronic and Precision Equipment Repair and Maintenance" with a size standard of $7.0 Million. The Government believes that only General Electric Company is 100% fully capable of supplying this maintenance service. This is a sole source procurement under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures, 38 U.S.C. 8153 and Other Than Full and Open Competition (FAR 6.302-1). This notice of intent is NOT a request for competitive quotes however; any firm that believes it can supply these services may give written notification to the Contracting Officer, VAMC Spokane, WA. 4815 N Assembly St, Spokane, WA., no later than 2:00 PM Pacific Time, December 23, 2009. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail, to the above listed address, Attn Jackie Merriman, Contracting Officer or through email at jackie.merriman@va.gov or faxed to (509) 434-7101. Responses received will be evaluated; however, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. If no responses are received, VA will proceed with the sole source award to General Electric Company.
