- SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE - WHISTLE CREEK BRIDGE DESIGN, FABRICATION AND DELIVERY, PARK COUNTY, WYOMING Bureau of Land Management, Department of the Interior, National Operations Center, Denver, Colorado has a requirement for a 70-foot span steel bridge with delivery to Park County, Wyoming. Design, fabricate and deliver to the designated site ready for installation, one shop-assembled steel bridge superstructure, designed for HS20-44 Loading, complete with traffic railing and edge dams. The superstructure shall be 70 feet long by 14 feet wide. The length shall be the clear distance between the traffic railings. The superstructure shall be fabricated either in one piece or in two pieces with a longitudinal joint along the centerline. The superstructure shall be designed and fabricated by a company regularly engaged in the manufacture of pre-engineered bridges and currently certified by the AISC in accordance with Section 11.1.1, Division II, Standard Specifications for Highway Bridges, Sixteenth Edition, 1996 by the AASHTO. The fabricator shall be certified to have the personnel, organization, experience, capability and commitment to produce fabricated structural steel for the category Simple Steel Bridges as set forth in the AISC Quality Certification Program. Quality control shall be in accordance with procedures outlines for AISC certification. The superstructure shall be designed or under the direct supervision of a registered professional engineer experienced in the design of such work. Calculations, design and fabrication drawings, substructure design information, mill test certificates and material test certification shall be required and submitted to the government by the successful contractor. Shipment of the bridge shall be f.o.b. destination. The Buy American Act pertains to this project. NAICS code is 332312, Fabricated Structural Metal Manufacturing, size standard 500 employees. Installation of bridge shall be by separate contract. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL. The intent of this sources sought notice is to identify potential offerors for this commercial item. A determination by the government on how to compete this proposed action based on the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. All responsible sources may submit their qualifications, including the following information via email to bhayden@blm.gov : 1. Geographic location of business 2. Size of business (large/small) 3. Socio-economic criteria (8A, HUBZone, SDVO, etc.) 4. Statement of contractors past performance of the same or similar work, and 5. Rough estimate of delivery costs from place of fabrication to City of Powell, County of Park, Wyoming. All responsible sources may submit a response; telephone or facsimile inquiries and/or responses will not be accepted. Responses shall be accepted through close of business on Wednesday, December 30, 2009.
