- Provide professional Architect/Engineer services to complete facility investigations, working drawings, cost estimates, revise specifications and construction period services for the construction project entitled "Renovate 3 South for Patient Waiting" Project No. 575-11-101. GENERAL: A.The Architect/Engineer (A/E) to provide the services for preparation of construction documents, cost estimates and other items indicated for "Renovate 3 South for Patient Waiting". B.The design must, as a minimum, be in accordance with all applicable codes, (NFPA, JCAHO, UBC, EPA) and Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) publications, (Master Construction Specifications, Construction Standards, etc.). C. The Architect/Engineer is to provide the services of a Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) for abatement design purposes and for construction period services. SCOPE OF PROJECT: The center section and south wing portions of the 3rd floor are to be renovated and reconfigured to accommodate a waiting and intake area adjacent to the new nurse station under construction in the center section by the minor construction project. This will include aesthetically pleasing finishes, comfortable furnishings, television entertainment and public bathrooms adjacent to the waiting area. The design shall also include a sound proof private consulting area for physicians and families. Design shall also include a survey of the area for asbestos containing materials and a plan for abatement. A/E shall procure the services of a certified IH firm to provide abatement plans and construction period services to monitor and oversee the abatement. A/E shall furnish detailed cost estimate for the construction, as if they were bidding on the work, to be used by the contracting officer to review bids and proposals. This procurement is 100% set-aside for Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business in accordance with Public Law 109-461 as codified by 38 USC 8127 & 8128. NAICS is 541310. The small business size standard is $4.5 million. Firms desiring consideration should submit two (2) copies of their Standard Form 330 no later than 4:00 p.m. Mountain Time January 28, 2010 to the attention of Raymond Tomori, Deputy Contract Manager, 4100 East Mississippi Avenue, Suite 1110, Glendale, CO 80246.
