- Description
- The Missile Defense Agency intends to issue a sole source, contract modification to extend MDA’s current Widebody Airborne Sensor Platform (WASP) Return to Service (RTS) contract, HQ0006-08-C-0009, to Raytheon Technical Services Company, LLC, (RTSC) headquartered in Tewksbury, MA. The proposed contract modification is expected be awarded on or about 15 Dec 2009. The modification will consist of a six-month period of performance extension (18 Jan 2010 – 17 Jul 2010). This action is required to maintain continuity of operations and to avoid disruption of critical support, providing time to complete the WASP RTS effort. The NAICS code for this acquisition is 541712, Research and Development in Physical, Engineering and Life Sciences, with corresponding small business size standard 1,000 employees. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. No formal solicitation package is available. The authority for other than full and open competition is 10 USC 2304(c)(1) as implemented by Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1, “Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements”. Responses received from this notice will be considered solely for planning purposes for the future MDA follow-on competitive procurement. The government will not be responsible for any costs incurred in responding to this notice.
