- This synopsis has been issued as a FULL AND OPEN procurement; open to all businesses regardless of size. The NAICS code for this requirement is 237990. The Product Service Codes is Y299. Due to posting errors from the presolicitation to the solicitation, this notice appears as a presolicitation with amendments. The ORIGINAL SOLICITATION BEGINS WITH AMENDMENT 8. FROM FBO, AMENDMENT 9 (posted 16 December 2009) IS ACTUALLY AMENDMENT 01 TO THE SOLICITATION. The previous postings that show amendments (1-7) were actually suppose to be posted to FBO as a 'Modification to Previous Notice' and not as 'Amendments'. The solicitation has been posted to the Army Single Face to Industry (ASFI) and can be accessed via the link provided in previous postings. The issuance date of this solicitation is 11 Dec 09 with a closing (response) date of 12 January 2010. The U. S. Army Corps of Engineers, Hurricane Protection Office (HPO) is seeking firms for the requirement entitled HPO, LPV 104.02, Lake Pontchartrain and Vicinity, New Orleans, LA, Hurricane Protection Project, Floodwall Replacement, Floodwall Construction, London Ave. Canal to IHNC, New Orleans Metro, LA. The estimated magnitude of the construction project cost is between $10,000,000.00 and $25,000,000.00. The work consists of floodwalls, flood gates, piling, earthwork, and roadwork. The work will be located in an area with limited Right-of-Way (ROW) and in some areas with low clearance for normal construction activities. No demolition will be performed during hurricane season. This will be an Invitation for Bid (IFB) solicitation that will result in one (1) firm-fixed price construction contract to the responsible contractor (subject to FAR Subpart 9.1) who submits a responsive bid that complies with the solicitation. The bid instructions are contained in this solicitation notice. Telephone, written, facsimile, or e-mail requests for the solicitation package will not be honored. Potential offerors must register on FedBizOpps at www.fbo.gov/ in order to receive notification(s) and/or change(s) to the solicitation. The Interested Vendors List (IVL) will may be accessed and printed from the FedBizOpps web site.
