- Description
- RECOVERY - Modification 01 awarded under Task Order 0003 for additional work under the Efficient Small Scale Propulsion (ESSP) Core Engine Demonstrator Design which obligates Recovery Act funding. Task Order 0003 was awarded on 22 Jun 2009 and funded entirely with Recovery Act funding. The additional work supports the procurement of hardware to support the metallic HP spool demonstrator engine. The contract was solicited and awarded competitively using competitive procedures which resulted in award of 15 contracts. This contract action was not awarded as a fixed price contract type because uncertainties involved in contract performance did not permit costs to be estimated with sufficient accuracy to use any type of fixed price contract. As such, a cost-reimbursement type action was awarded per FAR 16.301-2.
