- The NAICS Code is 332813. Naval Surface Warfare Center, Port Hueneme Division (NSWC PHD), Port Hueneme, California, intends to issue a Firm Fixed Price Order on a sole source basis to BAE Systems, Armament Systems Division, 163 Rochester Drive, Louisville, Kentucky 40214-2683, under Basic Ordering Agreement Number N00024-07-G-5438. The contractor shall provide the material and services necessary to perform MK45 Weather Shield refurbishments ten (10) each MK 63 Mod 0 [2527113] and five (5) each MK 63 Mod 1 [7031640]), in accordance with TRS SW323-DB-TRS-110 Revision 1 and TRS SW323-DB-TRS-330 Revision (Draft). The TRS listed were written to a baseline that includes the following Ordnance Alteration/Ship Change Document (ORDALTS/SCDS) and Deviations: Applicable ORDALTs are 9424, 9428, 9856, 16605, 16234, 16334, and 16772. If the applicable ORDALTs listed have not been accomplished on the 5" Weather Shield Assembly, they shall be accomplished concurrent with the applicable TRS whenever possible. The refurbishments will be performed during the time period 01 October 2009 through 30 September 2010 (FY 2010) in San Diego, California, Mayport, Florida, and Norfolk, Virginia. This assistance shall be in accordance with the technical guidance and instruction from the GWSRP Program Manager and the MK 45 ISEA representative. Period of performance is 01 October 2009 through 30 September 2010. BAE Systems Land & Armaments, L.P., ASD, is the only qualified contractor within the United States capable of manufacturing overhauling, upgrading and performing depot-level repair and service of the Navy's MK 45 Gun System. Only BAE has the necessary in-depth knowledge of MK 45 Navy gun design, production, assembly, and testing techniques regarding these weapons, including the necessary special tooling and in-house capability to build, repair and maintain these guns. BAE is the only known company with the requisite technical qualifications and facilities to perform the work in the required timeframe.
