- Description
- The Naval Air Warfare Center, Aircraft Division (NAWC/AD), Identification Systems Division Mark XII Branch, Code 4.5.9 intends to award a Basic Ordering Agreement (BOA) on a sole source basis to BAE Systems Information and Electronic Systems Integration, Inc for the duration of five (5) years. This requirement is a follow-on procurement to contract N00421-07-G-0001, awarded on 5 April 2007. This effort is for the repair, replacement, spares, on site field engineering services, modifications, production services and upgrades for Digital Integrator Set AN/UPX-37 and AB/UPX-41(C). This effort is also designed to provide other BAE Systems Identification Friend or Foe (IFF) equipment as production assets along with any technical services needed to modify and upgrade these assets for technical demonstration or use on board ship and ashore. The proposed contract action is for supplies and services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. BAE Systems Information and Electronic Systems Integration, Inc. owns proprietary data rights as the designer, developer, and Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) of the integrator set and subassembly, which makes it the only company with the experience, equipment and skills necessary to furnish the materials and services within the required timeframe. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals in writing no later than close of business on 30 December 2009. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. However, all proposals received within 13 days after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
