- Description
- The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR), Patuxent River, Maryland, intends to issue a sole source contract to Lockheed Martin Maritime Systems and Sensors, 9500 Godwin Drive, Manassas, VA for the continued effort to upgrade the Tactical Tomahawk Weapon Control System (TTWCS) in support of the United Kingdom. This acquisition will allow for the necessary hardware, software and support services required to upgrade the UK System due to obsolescence issues and ensure interoperability is maintained between the UK and the US. This includes the integration, testing and support documentation associated with the UK TTWCS system. Lockheed Martin posesses the unique UK knowledge of documentation development and services and has in place the required contracts with the UK contractors. The UK has again requested a directed contract awarded to Lockheed Martin Manassas in support of this acquisition via their FMS case. This contract is estimated to be for a base year and four option years. Notes 22 and 26 apply.
