Description

The Office of Information Technology (EI-10) in the Energy Information Administration (EIA) plans to contract with Ventyx Corporation by meansother than the use of full and open competition. This action is to renew services in order to continue proprietary software licensing, maintenance, support and upgrades. The base period of performance is January 1, 2010 to December 31, 2010, awarded Subject to Availability of Funds. This document sets forth the justification and approval for the use of one of the exceptions to full and open competition allowed under the Competition in Contracting Act of 1984 (CICA). The proposed action is for services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1(a) (2) (ii). This is a notice of intent and not a request for competitive proposals. No solicitation is available for this requirement. Interested parties should submit a capability statement and pricing information for the requirement within (14) calendar days of publication of this notice, to be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive requirement.
