- MARKET RESEARCH- MEDIAL PHYSICS SUPPORT SERVICE (691)This is Sources Sought notice only. This notice is for information and planning purposes and not a solicitation announcement. The purpose of this Source Sought announcement is for Market Research to gain knowledge of potential qualified Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business, Veteran Owned Small Businesses, 8(a) Hub-Zone and other Small Business interested and capable of performing this requirement. Description: The Department of Veterans Affairs, VA Greater Los Angeles Healthcare System located at 11301 Wilshire Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90073, requires a Medical Radiation Oncology Physicists, approximately 16 to 20 hours per week as needed basis. The Medical Oncology Physicists must be able to report to the VAGLAHS Oncology Department within 3 hours of notification of the work assignment. The Medical Physicists must be listed on the State of California Department of Health; Bureau of Radiological Health approved Physicists or another State Licensed Medical Physicists specific to Radiation Oncology. The Contract Physicists shall have a Doctorate Degree PhD or Master Degree (M.S) and minimum of 5 years work experience in Radiation Oncology clinical setting for which those years of experience were obtained during the past 6 years. The Physicists must be certified by the American Board of Radiology (ABR) or American Board of Medical Physics (ABMP). Medical Radiation Oncology Physicists must have experience with the following equipment located on the premises: Varian CL 2100 EX Dual Energy Linear Accelerator, CL2300 CD Dual Energy Linear Accelerator (Photon and Electrons), and they are Auxilliaris; Oldelft Simulator; Oldelf Superficial X-ray Therapy Machine; and ADAC Treatment Planning System, including 3 D Software. The North American Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 621399 ($7.0 million). Notice to Potential Offerors: All Offerors who provide good or services to the United States Federal Government must be registered in the Central Registration (CCR) located on the website www.ccr.gov. Offeror must completed Online Representations and Certifications Application (ORCA), https://orca.bpn.gov. Additionally, all Services Disabled/Veteran Owned Business or Veterans Owned Business must be registered with the Department of Veterans Affairs Center of Veterans Enterprise Vet Biz Registry located at http://vip.vet.gov. All interested Small Business concerns may submit their Company Name, Duns Number, Type of Small Business Concerns, and Statement of capability and qualifications of the organization to perform this requirement to the Contracting Officer.
