The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers-Jacksonville District (Corps) will hold an Industry Day, on Tuesday, January 12, 2010, from 1:30-3:30 p.m. EST. This meeting will be held in the 12th Floor Conference Room of the Jacksonville District. If you prefer not to attend, but would like to join by teleconference, please use the following CALL-IN NUMBER: (888)296-1938 and use the PARTICIPANT CODE: 663431. The total number of available incoming phone lines is limited to 20; therefore, it is requested that each firm utilize a minimum number of lines (preferably only one or two) for those individuals participating. THERE IS NO SOLICITATION AT THIS TIME. However, there are several documents (resource agency letter and agenda) that will be posted on ASFI for interested parties to review prior to Industry Day. In order to prepare a list of attendees of individuals participating in this Industry Day, it is requested that an e-mail be sent to Veronica.S.Taylor@usace.army.mil identifying the name of the firm, the name and title of those individuals participating, their telephone number and e-mail address. Please include a statement in this e-mail indicating whether or not Jacksonville District may include this information when posting and/or distributing the list of attendees. The purpose of the Industry Day is to discuss the implementation of additional manatee protection measures during night time clamshell operations at Canaveral Harbor, Brevard County, Florida. The Corps has agreed to implement these measures, and the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service concurs, in order to increase the level of manatee protection during night time operations (see USFWS letter which will be posted on ASFI). Jacksonville District personnel will present each of these additional protection measures, as well as the use of sonar, and provide an opportunity for industry to comment. A Microsoft PowerPoint presentation will be posted on ASFI NLT Monday, January 4, 2010. TO VIEW OTHER DOCUMENTS, CLICK ON ADDITIONAL INFO BELOW, THEN CLICK ON ADDITIONAL DOCUMENTATION.
