Description

The resulting contract will utilize funds provided by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) of 2009. Interested parties are notified that the inclusion of unique provisions required in implementing the Act, including those for significant reporting and transparency, will be required of the successful bidder. Bids are being solicited by the USDA, Forest Service for the Forest Wide Campground Toilet Replacement project located on the Salmon-Challis National Forest, Lemhi and Custer Counties, Idaho. This project is to replace existing vault toilets with Government-furnished pre-cast concrete vault toilets at recreation sites throughout the Salmon-Challis National Forest. Work includes, but is not limited to, arranging to have existing toilets pumped empty prior to removal; removing and disposing of existing toilet buildings and vaults; excavating and preparing the sites for a new vault toilet; and backfilling and compacting around the new vault after placement. The contractor is responsible for coordinating toilet replacement with the pre-cast concrete toilet manufacturer. The manufacturer is responsible for delivery, placement, and assembly of the new toilets. This requirement is being solicited as a Firm-Fixed Price Invitation For Bids. The approximate start work date will be April of 2010. Bids are due at 3:00 p.m. MST, February 5, 2010. The estimated price range is between $100,000 and $250,000. The solicitation will be available on approximately January 6, 2010 and may be downloaded from this site at that time. All future information about this acquisition, including amendments, will be distributed solely through this site. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring this site to ensure that they have the most up-to-date information about this acquisition. Vendors are required to be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) http:www.ccr.gov and shall complete the On-Line Registration and Certifications Application (ORCA) http://orca.bpn.gov.. All responsible sources may submit a response to this announcement which will be considered by this agency.
