Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation and issued pursuant to FAR 13.5 under Commercial Test Progra. The RFP is hereby issued on an "unrestricted" basis. Fleet Readiness Center Southeast (FRCSE) needs to refurbish the U.S. Navy's Pratt & Whitney J52-P-408A/B turbo-jet engine, 2nd stage turbine blades, Part Number 669402. The refurbishing process shall entail inducting used turbine blades in an "as is" condition, performing the required inspection and refurbishing then returning the blades to the government. The repaired blades shall be packaged in paired sets of equal moment weights, in a ready for issue (RFI) condition. The contractor shall inspect and refurbish the blades using the procedures listed in the references above, or as the listed references may be modified or corrected in the future. Any conflict between this Statement of Work and the Referenced document's procedures, the referenced documents shall take precedence. The contractor shall possess all required Support Equipment and tooling, or it's equivalent, listed in the referenced Work Packages that are applicable to the inspection and repair of P/N 669402 Turbine Blades. J52 2nd stage Turbine blades are flight critical parts. The type of contrct is a Requirements type contract with a base year with four (4) one-year options to extend.
